HighlineFI: Key Functions

HighlineFI gives you broad access and granular searching capability across all types of institutions: banks, credit unions, S&Ls and holding companies. Additionally, non-filing companies' financial history is available through Highline Financial's unique summed subsidiary data, enabling in-depth profiles of difficult-to-track institutions, including foreign companies, S&L holding companies and others. Your work can be easily exported to Excel and PDF for further analysis and presentation.
Using HighlineXL Excel Add-in, you can easily add live data updates to your existing analytical models or create new models with our intuitive, step-by-step HighlineXL wizard.
The Highline Rating, Leading Bank Solvency Rating
The Highline Rating, included with every HighlineFI subscription, is the first commonly used bank rating scale in the industry, dating back to 1985. Directly responsive to varying industry conditions, the Highline Rating is an excellent starting point for the analysis of a bank's health and is useful as an accurate predictor of solvency problems. Peer, national and regional ratings are on a scale of 99 (best) to 0, and assignment is based upon completely objective financial statistics and comparisons to peer institutions. Also, every entity is assigned peer-based, national and regional rankings, providing additional context for performance evaluation.
Many state treasuries, including California, Tennessee and Maine, rely on the Highline Rating as the primary determining threshold for whether or not to invest public funds in institutions in their territory. Others, such as Alabama depend on the rating for establishing specific levels of required collateralization for public funds investment.
The Highline Rating far outperforms the market-standard solvency flag, the Texas Ratio, for predicting bank failure long before actual failure. At three quarters prior to failure, the Highline Rating has accurately predicted over 161% more bank failures than the Texas Ratio since 2004. No other leading banking-sector data solution offers this time-tested bank health rating. It is an illuminating and time-saving tool that improves your analyses and ultimately, your most critical decisions.
Comparative Performance Analysis
HighlineFI enables extremely detailed peer group comparisons. Thousands of individual data points may be integrated into your web-based analyses, which can cover company financial performance, individual branch performance, market demographics and an extensive array of Highline Financial's proprietary performance ratios, ratings and other metrics.

Using web-based demographic data, mapping software and product demand data, you can assess the competitive impact of different branch networks or build detailed peer group comparisons based on identical location and demographic characteristics.
